I am new to homeschooling this year and I am feeling my way through it… do you have any great ideas to help with 4th grade math… I have the other subjects down but I am really struggling on how to make math fun for my son…

    Thank you in advance

      Hi Monnica,

My apologies for the slow response. We use Singapore Math, which isn’t all that fun, lol. To make it more fun and interesting, you might try Life of Fred. Check it out at or look up the books on Amazon.

In Response to the Math question–I am using Khan Academy–They keep up with the student’s progress and bring up videos and tests according to my daughter’s scores. It is a free program and starts from third grade, through high school and College. Math, Science, Economics, Humanities and Finance. In the Math Dept, courses go from 3rd grade math all the way through Algebra and Calculus. They also offer practice testing for the SAT’s and the MCAT and GMAT. I plan on using them Forever!–completely free too.

I love Khan Academy. Thank you for mentioning it here, so that other parents can reap its benefits. Thank you for visiting!
